A Personal Journey: From Open-Heart Surgery to Advocacy

I’m beyond honored to share that I’ve been awarded the 2024 HCMA Ruby GEM Award for my volunteer work with the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association (HCMA). As someone who has personally faced the continued challenges of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and undergone open-heart surgery, raising awareness for this condition is deeply personal to me.

Dedication to Service and Professional Leadership

The Ruby GEM Award is given to volunteers who have contributed over 80 hours of service, and while I never expected to be recognized for this, I am grateful for the acknowledgment. For me, the true reward lies in helping families and individuals navigate the complexities of HCM and ensuring they have the knowledge to make informed decisions.

As the founder of Rossi Enterprises, I’ve built my career on providing Fractional COO and CFO services to businesses, helping organizations thrive through operational leadership. My work with the HCMA is driven by the same principles I bring to my business clients—support, strategic thinking, and a dedication to making a meaningful impact.

HCM awareness is critical. The more people understand about this condition, the more lives we can save. I’m thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this mission and to work alongside a community that’s dedicated to heart health advocacy.

To all my fellow volunteers and supporters at HCMA—thank you. This award is a reflection of our shared commitment to making a difference.
